Question:

obama has always supported gay rights though? it's just that he has now explicitly stated it. he has done so much for the lgbt community, it's not a sudden epiphany.

Answer:

Obama has consistently supported most gay rights & has certainly been more progressive in this area than previous presidents, but he has spoken against gay marriage rights before. In 2004, he stated that marriage is sanctified between a man & a woman. He also said that perusing gay marriage was not strategic, which speaks volumes about his current statements.

I still respect Obama, and he is obviously the most ideal candidate for president. I have read both of his books. I acknowledge the changes he has made. However, I do believe in holding all politicians accountable, even the ones we like. If we didn’t question ice cream cake, we would eat it all the time & get stomach aches.

I’m not dissing Obama, but I appreciate what my boyfriend said. A Canadian politician said “Dream no little dream.” He has said he approves of same sex marriage (resulting in millions of dollars of campaign contributions), but will he join the fight for it? Never be afraid to expect more, especially when it comes to human rights.

Question:

You should really change back the layout on your regular blog, the current one isn't very visually appealing

Blogger started stacking my posts that way, Anon. I’ve been trying to get it back to normal & it won’t.

I’ll google it eventually.

Dear trans person who just posted that people with mental illnesses should be locked up because they are unsafe to society,

This statement from anyone is horrific enough, but I think you’re missing out on the meaning of solidarity.

Recycling insults once used against you benefits no one.
